Unknow button in all canvas app applications

Hello,

I have received feedback regarding an application, and a user mentioned that the "Full Screen" button is not working and he would like to use it.

I have surronded this button in red on the screenshot:

This button appears in all canvas applications. I tested it across multiple applications (both fixed-width and responsive), and it seems that the button has no purpose, except confuse users.

Is there an option in the settings to disable this button ?

If you hover over the button the tooltip says "Fit to Screen". If you switch your app browser window from maximized to windowed the app will stay the same size and scroll bars will appear. If you click that button the app will resize to fit the Window size you are in. So if you are running in a maximized window it doesn't really have a purpose. But if you are running in a Window that doesn't take up the full screen it has a definite purpose.

It's actually not a "Full Screen" button. It's a "Fit to Screen" button (hover over it to see the tooltip)

There is a way to hide the entire top navigation bar, just put "&hidenavbar=true" at the end of the play link to the canvas app.

What the fit to screen does:

If you have the "Scale to Fit" display setting on the app can sometimes be small on the window, for instance if you open it in play mode in a small window, then blow up your window.

(It's on by default, but I usually like to turn this off)

No wonder I don't know what this is it's been almost 4 years I am no longer working with the Lock aspect ratio option.

This should just be removed from the application if there is no need of it.
