PowerApp dropdown not populating correct choices from Sharepoint List

Hi All,

Any help is appreciated!

I have a canvas app that is connected to a SharePoint list with many fields, the main driver are choice fields from the list that act as dropdowns in the app. I was adding more choice fields to the list today and upon connecting them to the app, I noticed the choices are not being accurately shown. Rather, I am just getting a dropdown filled with item 1, item 2 ... item 15.

The original dropdowns are functioning correctly, it's only when I add new ones that I get this issue. The settings for the choice columns are the same throughout the list (no manual values, dropdown menu, single selection, not required, not unique).

Here is an example of a choice column in the list and its corresponding PowerApp dropdown.

Looks like an app refresh & formula re-entry resolved the last one!

On the sticky one - check the Edit Fields part of the properties and make sure the Display and Search fields are set as you expect them to be.  They change often when the Items property is changed and need to be set back to what you want.

That work-around seems to have largely done the trick. I still have one that is being sticky though... when I replace the formula, nothing populates the dropdown at all, but I will see what else I can find there. Much appreciated!

Yes, there is currently a bug introduced in the last release...until fixed - go to your Items property of your combobox control and select the formula there and cut it out...then paste it back in.  That should resolve it.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Thank you for the reply! I certainly hope Microsoft can look into this if it is a glitch as I don't have the runway to re-create (if that would even help).

I am having this same issue.  I believe it's a glitch..  If I add a form from a sharepoint list on a powerapp that I'd duplicated, the choices would show "Item 1- Item 15" (not reflecting the Sharepoint list), even if I remove and re-add the form & the choice field.  But I create a blank powerapp, then add the form, the choices would reflect correctly.  I've compared the Default values for the working and the non-working version, and they are the same.  I'm not sure what's going on here.  Started happening late last week.  I duplicate apps as templates, and I've done this before with success, but now it's no longer working.  Hopefully someone from Microsoft could look at this.
