When i choose to create a roll up field I can the message The Calculated behavior will eventually be discontinued. We recommend using the Formula data type for calculations instead. Are roll up fields deprecated? What is the alternative?
Hello,
As far as I know, there is no alternative for Rollup fields. The only way I can think of is the usage of additional automation like Power Automate Flow or Plugins to make that recalculation happen.
Hi @Rutu01
For now the calculated fields are still available but as you say they will be deprecated.
As an alternative you have the Power Fx dataverse columns in which you can have an alternative. For now they do not accept currency. I will provide you with the documentation so you can review it.

Removing rollup fields would be a huge disappointment.
Maybe only calculated fields are deprecated and the deprecated notification on creating a rollup column is just an error. It would be cool if formula columns support aggregation and filters across rows to create an always live rollup feature
I don't think it's a mistake, MSFT is migrating to Power FX as a low-code tool
Now if you handle Development you could also make a Plugin or Javascript
So does this mean that the same powerfx as used in canvas apps or a subset of it is the syntax for formula columns ? Is there any news on whether formula columns will support filters and aggregations like filtering certain rows and adding the values of a certain column
For now it is not on the road map but at the view level there is a component in preview that will bring this functionality
Check out my article where I talk about it.https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/power-apps-grid-vitaminado-jonathan-manrique-w78yf/?trackingId=e4ljPiMKTQaVT%2Bzqc7rXSA%3D%3D
