hi all ,

i have a SPlist with one column amount with number type.

i have a text label with the sum(amount) for all my records.

text property : sum( SPlist , amount)

everything seems ok  the result of sum(amount) is correct, but i see this warning : the "Sum" operation is not supported by this connector.

at this time everything works fine, but i am confused if i will have problem in the future.

i need your advice.

thanks

It depends on how large your list gets.  The warning you are getting is the because Sum() is not a delegable function in SharePoint.  That means it will work correctly as long as your list stays below the Data Row limit specified in your app.  The Default is 500 but you can set it as high as 2,000.  After your list exceeds that number of rows the sum action will only work on the first 500 or 2,000 records in the list and will not sum the records above that.  So if your list will stay small you can ignore the warning.

hi @Pstork1 , thanks for your help. i have one more question , first i use filter function and for this sub-list i try to sum the amount of the specific records. something like this :

Sum(Filter('SPlist',  Name= Gallery2.Selected.Name), 'Amount') . the data row limit now (for example 500 records) pertain to my sub-list or to my original list?

You are correct, In that case the data row limit would apply to the filtered list, not the SharePoint list.
