I am trying to use the new trigger feature to send proactive message (adaptive card) in teams.

There is not much documentation on this (apart from Lisa Crosbie's YouTube!).

I can get the trigger to work in the Copilot Studio test environment and the adaptive card is send correctly in teams, however when I try to trigger it outside of copilot (in this case sending email) the Power Automate flow is executed but not the Copilot Studio agent.

I have tried both adding topic triggered by action and also by adding action to call the Power Automate flow which sends the Adaptive card. I have stripped back the flow so there are no input or output parameter but still getting nothing.

I know its possible to create a basic bot interaction using Power Automate only, but I would much prefer to use Copilot studio to orchestrate if possible.....

Has anyone else managed to get this working and can advise?

Hello,

I'd really recommend you to avoid the event triggers until they're Generally Available. Why? Because it's a preview feature. It means that the feature is not complete yet and it's not recommended to use it for production purposes. It's only for testing. As you can see it's not fully working. You can also check out the MS release plan to see when event triggers are planned to be Generally Available: https://releaseplans.microsoft.com/en-US/?app=Microsoft+Copilot+Studio.
