Hi all,

I just tried to create a button to launch a web page, but I'm plan to use the new feature which is launch to the same page.

The other day, keyword was LaunchTarget.Self now being replaced with LaunchTarget.Replace. (Is that correct )

So, the button is contain like this :

Launch("http://bing.com/search", {q: "Power Apps"}, LaunchTarget.Replace)

but it doesn;t work. Still it will open in new tab in my browser.

Anything missed ?

Thanks,

I don’t believe anything has changed.  The documentation still says you should use LaunchTarget.Self

    Launch("http://bing.com/search", {q: "Power Apps"}, LaunchTarget.Self)

    Link to MS Docs:

OK, I just tested it out and LaunchTarget.Replace works.  You have to publish the app and test your button in the 'Play' version of the app.  It will not replace your tab if you are testing in studio... for a good reason.

    Launch("http://bing.com/search", {q: "Power Apps"}, LaunchTarget.Replace)

    Hi mdevaney,

Big fan of your work with Powerapps. I follow your blog, thank you!! The {q: "Power Apps"} was a bit that I was missing in the 'Replace' function, and now it works reliably. Thank you all for posting!!

    Hi All,

I have an issue where this formula would work in the web browser but doesn't work on the IPad.

Doesn anyone have a soilution for this?

    Again me,

Found a solution using a call to Shortcut in IOS:

    Set(varURL,"Shortcuts://x-callback-url/run-shortcut?name=<savedShortcutName>&x-success=ms-apps:///providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apps/<app ID>x-cancel=ms-apps:///providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apps/<app ID>");
    Launch(varURL)
