Cannot assign System Administrator role - only user in environment

I’m the only user in my Power Platform environment (licensed under my corporation), and I’m unable to assign myself the System Administrator role in Dataverse.
>
> When I try to add myself to the role (via admin center > Security roles > Members), I get the error:

Hello, could you see if any of the below options work?

Option 1: Assign via Security Group
If your environment is tied to a Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) security group, you can:

    Add yourself to that group.
Ensure the group is assigned the System Administrator role in the environment.

Option 2: Use PowerShell (if you have tenant-level admin rights)
If you have Power Platform Admin or Global Admin rights, you can use PowerShell to assign the role:

    Install the Microsoft.PowerApps.Administration.PowerShell module.

    Get-AdminPowerAppEnvironmentRole -EnvironmentName "<your-environment-id>"

    Set-AdminPowerAppUserRoleAssignment -EnvironmentName "<your-environment-id>" `
        -RoleId "<system-admin-role-id>" `
        -PrincipalObjectId "<your-user-object-id>"

Thank you for your responses. However, there are some things that I should have mentioned in my original post - sorry about that! I own my corporation and this is the first time I've tried to set things up. I own the MSFT 365 Business account, and I am the only user. There is no need for a security group; I should have full administrative rights to my own environment.

    Hi Mate

365 wont let you edit your own admin account settings (In case you lock yourself out or something)
Create a 2nd admin user and log in as them and you can update the permissions on your account using that one
