How to use Sharepoint field type "location" in PowerApps form?

Hi,

I am using a form in Powerapps which is linked to a sharepoint list. One of the fields in the sharepoint list is defined as type "Location".  In the PowerApps form it is not possible to edit this field as an app-user. How can I change this?

Thanks,

Lukas

    Hi Lukas

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to directly update a location field from PowerApps.  Here's a workaround to the problem that uses Flow.

    Hi @Lukas1

    Not possible currently

Here is my blog on this

    http://rezadorrani.com/index.php/2018/12/04/location-columns-for-sharepoint-online-lists-libraries/

Your only option would be to include Flow and then use send an http sharepoint action to post data

Have they made any headway on the location field. I was trying to add it to my app and found this, but since it's old and I can't find anything else on it was wondering? BTW, love your videos on YouTube. I've learned so much. THANK YOU.

Any update on this? It would seem having the ability to address the location column in a Power App Form would be pretty basic functionality.

    Thanks,

    Any update on this?

I tried it with the "Patch function", but got a "Column PostalCode0 is generated by the server, and can't be specified."
So it seems like it is a read-only column. Currently, my work around is just to abandon the Address column type and switch to Text type.

And thanks @RezaDorrani for sharing your blog.

Come on Microsoft!! This is very basic functionality that needs to be included in power automate!  Shame on you for not solving this.
