Square around Icons?

Hello Power Apps Community,

 

I've noticed that sometimes when I click on an icon in an app, it doesn't work. Instead a square pops up around it. (See screenshot)

 

I then click on the icon again and it goes away and the icon works. This happens in multiple apps.

 

Does anyone know the reason for this and if there are any resolutions or workarounds?

    Heya @Matren 

     

    If you click and drag, the icon will gain focus, and the FocusedBorder will show - when you click and drag instead of click, the OnSelect code is not run.

    This is a standard feature for User interfaces, including this forum (and Windows) for example. If you click and drag one of the buttons like reply/cancel, it gets a border showing that its focused, but it does not perform the action.

     

    Are you by chance using a trackpad on a laptop? The trackpad has a higher rate of accidental drag than other input devices so it might just be a case of being more careful with your clicking 🙂

    @iAm_ManCat Thanks for the info! Perhaps I need a different mouse to prevent my random "click and drags."
