What is "Jobs" in Dataverse?

Hi all,

In the Dataverse conceptual diagram, I see Jobs in the Logic category.
Does this mean that jobs in Dataverse are system jobs?
If so, can you point me to a Microsoft Document that describes system jobs in detail?
I tried to look for it, but I couldn't find any article that describes system jobs in detail.
Also, if there is something else you call Jobs besides System Jobs, please let me know.

Thank you for help.

    Hi @Go_Ozeki,

It's referring to System Jobs, which are asynchronous running tasks. System jobs are executed by the Asynchronous service (you don't have to worry about what that is anymore but is relevant in the older Dynamics CRM on-premises). There are built in system jobs for tuning such as Database index management. Rollup field calculations run as jobs, bulk deletion jobs, duplicate detection jobs. Asynchronous Dataverse workflows and asynchronous plugins also run as jobs.

    Hi @ChrisPiasecki,

I see that Jobs are system jobs, which are tasks that are executed asynchronously.
The following site may be helpful.
