How can I use LookUp function or similar for large Dataset with 80.000+ rows?

Hello guys,

roosn_0-1652270498571.png

(A_ArtikelNr)          (A_ArtikelBez)

The User has to enter an article number. After that the full name of the article should be displayed in the right field.

My problem is, that this method only works until the 2000th article.

Here is my code :

If(!IsBlank(A_ArtikelNr), LookUp('Artikel Bezeichnung',Text(ART_NR) = Text(A_ArtikelNr)).VOLL_BEZ,"")

    Hi @roosn ,

    I think you just need this

    LookUp(
     'Artikel Bezeichnung',
     ART_NR = A_ArtikelNr
    ).VOLL_BEZ

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    Thanks for your answer.

    I tried your solution and I have the same problem with it, I only get the first 2000 items from the 80.000 items.

    Is there any way where I can use all the 80.000 items?

    @roosn

    What is the data source?

    Hi @Drrickryp ,

    Im using a Sharepoint List for the data.

    @roosn ,

    What type of field is ART_NR, what is A_ArtikelNr and what is the full code (in Text please) you are using it in?

    @WarrenBelz ,

    ART_NR is the row from the sharepoint list, A_ArtikelNr is a text input field for the article number.

    My code :

    If A_ArtikelNr is not empty search in the sharepoint list 'Artikel Bezeichnung' for the article number and use the row ART_NR for the field A_ArtikelNr.

    VOLL_BEZ is the sharepoint row for the articel description, which should be given out in the text input field A_ArtikelBez.

    @roosn ,

    Sorry, but that is confusing - can you please supply the specific details I asked for - the query should be Delegable

    • What type of field is ART_NR  in your SharePoint List 'Artikel Bezeichnung' ?
    • If A_ArtikelNr is a Text field, is it in the same list 'Artikel Bezeichnung' ?
    • What is the full code (in Text please) you are using this code to query the data ?
  • roosn Profile Picture

    @WarrenBelz ,

    • ART_NR = number column
    • Yes, its the same List
    • This is the code I am using right now :
    • If(!IsBlank(A_ArtikelNr), LookUp('Artikel Bezeichnung',Text(ART_NR) = Text(A_ArtikelNr)).VOLL_BEZ,"")

    @roosn ,

    Firstly, how can a number column equal a text column in the same list ? Apart from that, you cannot compare two fields in the same list with a LookUp (my test errored) and why are you doing this ?

    So to be clear you are saying in this code

    If(
     !IsBlank(A_ArtikelNr),
     LookUp(
     'Artikel Bezeichnung',
     Text(ART_NR) = Text(A_ArtikelNr)
     ).VOLL_BEZ,
     ""
    )
    •  ART_NR is a Numeric column in the List 'Artikel Bezeichnung'
    • A_ArtikelNr is a Text column in the List Artikel Bezeichnung'
    • You want to look up the first matching match where A_ArtikelNr is not blank
    • LookUp will only return one record - I assume you are saying it is not looking beyond the 2,000th record?

    Sorry, but that is not making a lot of sense to me presently unless I have misread something.

    @WarrenBelz ,

    I try to explain it a bit better.

    I have a Sharepoint List with a article number (ART_NR , type : number) combined with a article name (VOLL_BEZ, type : single line of text). So in the List is a connection between the articel number and the article name (more than 80.000 items).

    In my Powerapp the User has to input the article number in the text input field 'A_ArikelNr'.

    After the input the App should automatically show the right article name in the text input field 'A_ArtikelBez'.

    And my problem with my code is, that it only works with the first 2000 items from the Sharepoint List.

    If I insert a article number which is higher than the 2000th article, it wont show any results in the 'A_ArtikelBez' field.
