PowerApps - Screen Navigation Issue

Hi

I have inherited an App that was completed couple of years back.

On my Home screen:

I have a gallery of Tasks that are NOT completed. And a form with selected fields.

when I click a button "Update Status Only", it changes the status to the selected value in the dropdown by submitting the form and then it automatically navigates me to a View Screen of that task. That is fine.

However, when I change the status to "Completed" and then click the Submit button (which become visible only if status = "Completed" is selected) it removes the task from the gallery as it is designed for, however, right after clicking the "Submit" button, it navigates to a blank View screen. The task is completed and is no longer showing in the gallery of the Home screen and thus the view screen is blank as well.

How can I fix this issue?

The mystery is I do not see anywhere Navigate(Scr.....) code.

Even if I place Navigate to say Dashboard screen, it still goes to that blank detail screen...

How can I fix this?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks,
SueA.

    Hi @SueA,

With Forms, the post-save code is often written in the Form's OnSuccess property and not in the actual Save Button.

Additionally, a fast way to find certain pieces of code is by using the Power Apps Search Pane. You can find all Navigate functions by simply typing Navigate into the Search Pane (or reference the View screen name).

The blank details screen could be related to the value of the View Form's Item property.

If this solves your question, would you be so kind as to accept it as a solution & give it a thumbs up.

    Thanks!

If you're trying to find a mystery piece of code, you can use the search pane to find where a sneaky "Navigate(" might be located. Otherwise there's not a reason I know of why the app would randomly change screens.

Edit: Nevermind this was already said lol

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @LaurensM,

Your remarks were right on the mark. I was able to find the code behind Form's OnSuccess property (I had forgotten, as I do not have much experience with Forms.) I fixed it according to my changed requirements and it is working as expected!

Huge thank you for your timely and to the point support.

    Hi @madlad

Thank you for your suggestion. In my search Pane, I can only find the names of the PowerApps screens, Forms, Data cards, labels, Icons etc...and not the code. Many times I wished I could have a search capability for my code but have not figured that aspect yet. I appreciate your immediate response though!

    Have a great day.

    SueA.
