Hi everyone!
I'm looking to build a relatively-simple retail inventory management system for my family businesses and have evaluated a number of options including odoo, microsoft dynamics business central, zoho, bubble etc however, due to the plans offering and cost estimation - I cannot justify the use case for the business. As the businesses have specific process, workflow and reports, we need the ability to customise these needs into the system.
Summary of the functionalities required are:
1. sales management; includes staff login (PIN), POS checkout (touchscreen) with barcode scanning
2. inventory management; including product info, ingoing, outgoing, stocktake (tablet for barcode scanning)
3. crm; suppliers & customer data
4. customer membership loyalty app that allows them to track their points and be used across our stores (I believe PWA for our customers will be more suitable unless we find a better integration to another software)
Basically, we require different staff to login into the POS system and perform basic sales checkout with the ability to open the cash drawer when receipts are printed. Down the track, we would want the customers to scan a QR code that links to our PWA where they can sign up and view their membership points.
I guess I'm trying to validate whether Power Apps is suitable and can meet the requirements of the system we're looking to build. I do have an ERP background where I understand relational databases etc however, do not have experience in Power Apps which I do not think will be very complicated for our needs above.
My understanding is that i'll need to use the model-driven app and dataverse (CDC) to accommodate for this but I'm a bit worried about the numerous transactions/data that may slow down the apps.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or recommendations!
Hi @jonowono ,
I've mostly worked in CRM, but based on other projects we've handled, I have a rough idea based on your requirements.
You can have a mix of BC, Retail, F&O, and CRM systems for your needs, but it all depends on your specific needs and the size of your business.
You can approach to any consulting firms that can help you out in detail 🙂
Hope this helps
