Get "list of issues" in Jira results in error

Every time I try to use the "list of issues" Jira tool, no matter how few tickets are in the project (space) I'm trying to ask Copilot to get a list from, it just gives me this error:

openAIModelTokenLimitThe request is resulting in too much data to handle, please evaluate the amount of data being returned by your actions.[Learn more]https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/error-codes?tabs=webApp#toomuchdatatohandle

I can confirm that the query would only have about 100 tickets.  I tried to ask Copilot for a list that I know would only have a about 10 tickets as a result, still the same error.

There's nothing I see that I can configure in the tool so I'm a bit lost.

Would anyone happen to have any advice?
All the other tools work just fine (get issue, get user, get projects, etc...)

I have the same question (0)

Are you applying any filters when calling the Jira action? Even with a small number of tickets, the response can exceed limits due to large fields (like descriptions, comments, etc.).

I’d recommend using Power Automate to fetch only the required fields (e.g., summary, key) and pass a trimmed response to Copilot to avoid the token limit error.

    Hi,

    thank you for the suggestion.
I don't have much experience with Power Automate.  Do you have any suggestion where I could find out how to integrate it to copilot studio?

The underlying principle makes sense but it seems weird that if a Jira site has, let's say, 100,000 issues, Copilot's "get list of issues" would fetch all of them every time I use it.
