Good Morning,

We are building an internal agent that has accesss to sharepoint documentation.

We have it working in teams.

We are trying to set it up for a custom webpage, but it asks to login and then sends you to a page for a 6 digit code.

I have SSO setup shouldn't that bypass that?

I think I'm missing something simple.

Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on what you are doing, you still would need to setup an App in Entra and/or delegations etc.

I would have to understand the totality of your bot, what Tools it uses (connectors etc) to be exact but you will need to do more than simply enabling it in an iframe or something.

This chatbot is going to use teams and a custom website. It access Several sharepoint sites.

It has access to sharepoint and teams works fine with one inital login that uses SSO.

Yes that is fine, but your custom website is not those and doesn't have what is necessary to go through the process itself.

To oversimplify, you are asking the site to do something on your behalf, as an authenticated user, regardless of a Chat Bot or Copilot Agent, if you want that you need to create the (credentials flow I will call it) and ensure that the client can get you tokens, can authenticate you etc etc.

That is not just built into a custom site.

This is why you cannot also simply test it in what used to be the "Web Demo Site" as that site didn't require other, you would have to have made it use credentials and all thats required to avoid getting redirected, a popup to login etc etc.

I tried to help but your response its clear you want to stick with it should just work.

I'm looking for proper directions to set up the proper flow so It will work, but still allow teams.

Like I said, I know I'm missing something with this, and I am reaching out here to try figure it out.
