We have a Canvas application which is integrated with SharePoint, and we have built in  "Image" control:-

When using power apps mobile application, this will allow the users to either directly take a photo using the mobile camera, or browser and upload a photo from their mobile. this works great for pictures. but how we can allow the user to record a video directly from power apps? if this is not possible then how we can allow the users to upload/attach a video from their mobile devices to sharepoint through power apps? as seems the Image control does not allow to upload pre-recorded videos

Thanks

Your use case is not supported out of the box, but using this guide you can build a PCF componenet which should allow you to record videos:  Binary Republik: Step-by-Step Guide: Create a PCF Control to Record Video in Power Apps

@BCBuizer thanks for the reply, i never used PCF component, are there any drawbacks of using this control?

One of the biggest drawbacks of PCF components is that they are not supported by Microsoft. This means that if it ever stops working, you can't raise a support ticket to Microsoft and get them to fix it. Instead you may try to contact the person that published the component or get pro dev support.

In case you choose to go with using this component and video recordings are a key feature of your app, the business should definitely be aware of this risk.

Having said that, I'm not sure how likely it is that you will ever need support since PCF seems to be pretty stable.
