PDFs Uploaded to Public Site Knowledge Source Not Being Used in Responses

I am currently looking to use Copilot Studio to answer questions and direct people to resources (PDFs) on a public website. I have added the website as a knowledge source and am able to get responses based on the text that is displayed on the website. However, all of the PDFs which are uploaded to the website are not able to be referenced by Copilot Studio (i.e., there are PDF files that are uploaded and linked to from the website, but Copilot Studio is not pulling that information in by default when it pulls the other information from the site).

For context, the URLs for the PDFs are not in the same format as the website because they are uploaded to the CMS which gives it a more generic URL. If anyone has any guidance on how I can get Copilot Studio to scrape the PDFs using the Public Website knowledge source, it would be greatly appreciated because otherwise I will have to find a more manual workaround. Any guidance in this area would be appreciated.

    Hello,

I guess the problem that you encounter is due to fact that the whole website is indexed, but it excludes any attachments. You can try out to upload them to a SP library or upload manually. Unfortunately, there aren't any possibilities currently to do it in a different way, from what I know.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,

@Artur StepniakThank you for this response. If I am looking to use a SP site as the knowledge source, is it safe to do so for a public-facing chat bot? Will doing so expose the underlying SP site or create a security concern?
