"Dataverse for Teams": unable to export tables

Hello,

I have microsoft database for teams power app with 5 associated tables. I would like to export the data from the tables (including the image data) so that I can review the data locally. However, I seem unable to export the tables. When I try to export the solution, I only get a very small xml file with column names and no data, along with a pink error message stating "Something went wrong. Please try again later". I've been trying for several days now.

I followed the instructions in this video: Exporting and importing Microsoft Dataverse for Teams solutions

It seems others have had similar issues, but I could not find any solution.

thanks!
-mike.

    HI ,
did you try to export the solution from Power Apps Maker Portal?

    You mean "make.powerapps.com"?

I checked and my teams dataverse tables were not listed in the set of available tables to export. The available tables were not created by me, and I'm guessing were generated by microsoft. They look like generic tables. (see attached pic)

Hi @mike_a, can you check for any solution file(in solutions tab) matching your requirement and check inside the solution, if there are any required tables and if any match found, export the solution for local processing

Many thanks for your efforts, I appreciate the assistance.

Unfortunately, I could not find anything related to my teams dataverse tables under the solutions tab. The listed solutions seem to be MS generated ones, and not generated by me. Or at least, I do not recognize any of them. To be sure, I checked each one to see any of them contained my tables, and I was unable to find my data. (see screenshot)

    Can you do this please.

    1. Go to Solutions
    2. Go to Default project (which should be there)
    3. Open that and go to Tables

    You should see yours there.

I am surprised if you click Tables and you are in the right environment you do not see them.

Can you please explain how you created this App to begin with? the tables etc?

    Hello Michael Gernaey,

Many thanks for taking your time to address my problem.

I have 6 tables that I created as part of a power app within "Dataverse for Teams". One of these tables is named "Data_Sets" (see previous image attachment in previous post). As you requested, I navigated (within https://make.powerapps.com/) Solutions => Default Solutions (see attached image A1, I could not find anything called "Default project") => list the tables associated.

I do not recognize any of the listed tables. They seem like MS generated data structures. My table "Data_Sets" is not included in the list of tables (see attached image A2).

As best as I know I am in the correct environment, as I only have one environment.

How did I create this app? It was created through "Dataverse for Teams", which is basically done by going to Teams => left panel buttons => selecting "View more apps" => "Power Apps".

From here I created my app "Database" (see attached A3). I could create a new app with the "+ New App" button, or continue to work on my existing "Database" app by clicking on the link, which takes me to the app builder.

I know there is some differences between "Dataverse" and "Dataverse for Teams", so possibly this is the issue?
