Unable to view the Authentication Settings in Copilot Studio for an agent

I would like to see/change the agent authentication settings, when I Click settings, Security > Authentication I just get 'Try that again'
This happens for other users too, I have full permissions on the agent I built.
Is there a way to fix this? Many thanks

The fact that this happens for multiple users in the same environment rules out it being a user permission issue. This is almost certainly one of two confirmed admin-level causes.

Cause 1 (most likely): A DLP policy in your tenant is enforcing authentication requirements and the enforcement is causing the settings page to fail to load rather than just showing restricted options. Since early 2025, DLP enforcement for Copilot Studio is active for all tenants by default. If a policy is misconfigured or blocking the authentication settings connector, the page can render a generic error instead of loading.

To check: ask your Power Platform admin to go to Power Platform Admin Center > Security > Data policies and look for any policy that includes the "Chat without Microsoft Entra ID authentication in Copilot Studio" connector in a blocked state. The fix is to move that connector to the Business data group rather than blocked.

Cause 2: A Power Platform admin control has locked the authentication settings. Microsoft docs confirm there is a tenant-level admin control that prevents the Authenticate manually option from being modified in Copilot Studio. When this control is active, it can cause the authentication page to behave unexpectedly including showing errors.

To check: the Power Platform admin should go to PPAC > your environment > Settings and look for Copilot Studio-related authentication controls.
If neither of those resolve it, this is a transient service issue in your tenant and worth raising a Microsoft support ticket with the environment ID and approximate time the error started occurring.
