Perfectly Worked Power Automate Flows Cannot Identify Windows Elements Suddenly.

Posted on by 7
Hi,

I was working with two Power Automate desktop flows that were functioning perfectly until yesterday. These flows contain over 300 steps in total. Now, both flows are unable to execute steps related to capturing elements from windows or populating fields in windows. It seems that my flows are no longer able to execute any UI Automation components. This issue appeared suddenly.

I’ve tried various troubleshooting steps: I checked for updates in Power Automate and updated to the latest version, but it didn’t resolve the problem. I also tried downgrading, but that didn’t work either. I’m working in a corporate environment, and the only recent change made by the admins was pushing a new wallpaper through Active Directory.

I’m at a loss as to where the issue might be and how to fix it. Creating these flows from scratch would take a significant amount of time. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before? Is there a fix available?

Cheers !!

    SOLVED !!

There is a version update that published by Microsoft on 13th of Sep. (2.47.119.24249) AsCU23070630-3 mentioned, This update fixed the issue and it reverted to the old UI elements.

However, I created a case in Microsoft for this issue since those automated flows were critical to us. They save around 4-5 hours in total in a day. I changed the priority to P2 as Microsoft support engineer suggested. However, after that the support engineer changed and the assigned engineer that matches out time zone did not reply to the mails that we mentioned this issue.  I don't know why. However, glade Microsoft fixed this.

    Cheers !!

    Hi,
I had the same problem. What saved me was the old version of PDA on one of my PCs, but...
TODAY a new version appeared (2.47.119.24249), and it reverted to the old UI elements.
What was funny in the previous version was that when I selected the same UI element, I got different results.
