Hello everyone,

I'm exploring options to create a copy /save as of an existing Canvas App using Power Automate flow
I tried replicating the flow by following this article (Cloning A Power Platform Solution - DEV Community) but i understand for canvas app it is not possible.
I was wondering if there's a way to automate the process of copying the Canvas App. Has anyone tried this before or have any insights on how to achieve this?

hey

i have never seen a way of doing this with a canvas app.

what exactly is your use case of automizing it?

i dont think that this is possible, and i have also not found anything online.

Hi,

Is there a specific reason to copy a canvas by automation ? An app is configured and developped for a specific need. It is not suppose to be created by automation.

Actually, you can't deal with application through a powerautomate for the reason you ask.

Hi,

We have a shared environment where developers can share their apps with others. I have created an interface for users to view a list of apps and select one that resembles what they are trying to create. When they choose an app, I want to generate a new copy of the Canvas App for them to develop and customize according to their requirements.

as already mentioned i do not think that this is possible to automate with power automate never seen anything like that
