How to Customize the Quick Find View for Specific Fields in Microsoft Dynamics 365
If you need to extend the search functionality within a table to include specific fields in Microsoft Dynamics 365, follow these steps:
Navigate to
Advanced Settings
and select
Customization -> Customize the System
. Under
Components
, choose
Entities
and then select the desired table.
Open the
Views
section and locate the row labeled
"Quick Find View"
in the Type column. Open the Quick Find View and, on the right-hand side under
Common Tasks
, click
"Add Find Columns"
.
You can then select the fields you want to include in the search. Save the changes and publish customizations to make the updates effective.
This customization is essential for improving usability and tailoring search capabilities to your organization's needs.
I hope these instructions have helped some of you.
