How To Add a Copilot Page in the Site Map Entry to Your Custom Sales App?

This blog will guide you through the steps to add the Copilot page as a site map entry in your custom sales app, ensuring users can harness its full capabilities with ease.

Client Requirement:

We recently had a client requirement where the client needed a feature to generate a summary of all appointments scheduled for the day, including account names and contact details, ensuring quick access to critical data without the need to manually navigate through multiple records. Essentially, the client wanted a seamless solution to conveniently fetch and summarize related data from multiple entities within their custom sales app.

Steps to Add the Copilot Page to the Site Map of your Custom Application.

  1. Open the Power Apps
  • Navigate to Apps > My apps.
  • Locate your custom sales app and click Edit to open the App Designer.
  1. Access the Site Map Editor
  • In the App Designer, select the New tab to add a new Navigation Page in the Site Map Editor.
  1. Add a New Area or Group (Optional)
  • If you want to organize Copilot under a specific section, create a new Area or Group.
  • Click on the Ellipsis Menu (…) beside Navigation > New Group, and provide a name that reflects the functionality (e.g., “AI Tools”, “Copilot”).
How To Add a Copilot Page in the Site Map Entry to Your Custom App
  1. Add a Hyperlink for Copilot
  • Within the URL Tab in the Navigation Link Page add the following URL: “/main.aspx?&pagetype=control&controlName=PowerApps.Copilot”.
  • Also Add your desired title in the Title Area as shown in the figure.
