Session Description: Supporting Students with Special Needs using Power Platform
-------------------
Utilizing Power Platform, Fort Vermilion School Division has created a new Curriculum Continuum and IPP application supporting Teachers, Support Staff and Parents to craft individual plans for Students with special needs, including those with learning disabilities.
Plans are created using the core Skills and Procedures based on Alberta Education's Curriculum for Grade K to 6 Students as well as the ability to add specific Social, Emotional and Wellness Learning outcomes specific to Special Educational Coding or Student needs.
Session will include live demonstration of the Canvas App as well as a behind the scenes look of the underlying table entities within Dataverse, components and code in use within the Canvas App and integration of Power BI Paginated Reports to produce exported PDF's using Power Automate.
The techniques discussed within this presentation could be applied to similar applications within Training or Competence Management Systems.
