SSRS used to be a "go to" reporting technology since the early days of Dynamics CRM, and it has served us well through all these years. However, there might be a new king in the Power Platform town. With the introduction of Power BI paginated reports earlier this year, Microsoft is now offering a revamped version of pixel-perfect reports, though it's all under the Power BI umbrella now. Would you still use SSRS on your next project, or would you go with paginated reports? In this session, we will take a look at how paginated reports work, and, also, will compare this new approach with the traditional SSRS reporting.

Having started in Dynamics back in the end of 2010, when CRM4 was still around, I find it almost hard to believe what happened to the product and my own career in the last 10-11 years. I was a .NET developer working within well-defined boundaries of the classic application development back then, and now I am a consultant/developer/solution architect, and, for the time being at least, a Microsoft MVP who is working with a quickly evolving product that has gone far beyond the boundaries of the original CRM system.
