Join us for an engaging and learning presentation at the Cleveland Power Platform User Group!
Modern teams want AI that actually does work—not just chat. In this session, our speaker will build a production-ready
Copilot Studio agent that can answer questions, take actions, and safely retrieve
live data from SQL Server. You’ll see how to combine
Generative Answers for natural language
with Actions for precise, parameterized SQL calls, all wrapped in enterprise controls: least-privilege access, row-level security patterns, PII redaction, and auditability. We’ll start with the problem statement, design the agent’s conversation flow and tools, wire it to SQL with a stored-procedure first approach, and test end-to-end in the built-in test canvas and Teams. Along the way we’ll cover
prompt grounding and
guardrails,
variable passing,
result shaping to JSON, and retries/fallbacks when data is missing. You’ll leave with a concrete blueprint: when to use
Generative Answers vs. Actions, how to
secure and govern data access, and a deployable pattern you can adapt to sales, support, and operations use cases. If you can model a table and write a stored proc, you can ship a Copilot.
Thank you,
