Shifts To Office365 Outlook Calendar Automatization

MalteM Profile Picture Posted by MalteM

Automatically copies your shifts and Time Off instances from Microsoft Teams Shifts into your Office365 Outlook calendar. Default options are set to check the shifts and Time Off instances once a day.

Needs a "Microsoft Teams", "Office 365 Outlook", "Office 365 User" and "Shifts (Microsoft Teams)" connection. Import the flow and set the value of the CalendarName variable to the name of your calendar into which the shifts/Time Off instances are to be copied. Also, set the value of the TeamName variable to the name of your team from which the shifts/Time Off instances are copied.

Mine has started recently duplicating every entry so I end up with hundreds of shifts entries when it has a vacation shift added, not really sure why but I am going to poke around, I remember it did this before with my ordinary shifts but I fixed that, it was so long ago that I forgot what I did to fix it.

If you have set up everything correctly, as detailed in the setup instructions (input your calendar name, team name etc) the flow should still work (for now). It's still possible to edit the flow using the old version of the Power Automate Designer. The message that pops up just means that it can't be edited using the new Power Automate designer. Perhaps that'll be a problem if they ever completely phase out the old Designer UI, but it's okay for now.

To answer your question directly, I used "Import/Import Package (legacy)" to upload the flow.

    Kris.

    Hi Krisr,

Thanks for responding. I'm still getting the same error. The file attached is still from 2022 from what I can tell. Where did you upload the new file?

Well this is embarrassing. I finally found time to look at this properly and discovered that somebody else has changed the MS Teams team name, which of course broke the flow.  Stupidly simple. All fixed now and hopefully this'll help others that stumble into this.

    Hi Everyone!

I'm a first-timer here, so please bear with me.

I just tried importing the attached flow today, and it looks like it's dated:

Does anyone have an updated zip file by any chance?

Yeah, I'm getting the "404 resource not found errors" as well, but nobody else seems to have noticed. My flow was working perfectly for a long time (for a team of 8 each running their own instance) and just suddenly stopped working for all. I have also only made the changes suggested in the guidance for this flow. I don't think it's something you or I have misconfigured, and maybe something has changed at 'the other end'. Either it's only affecting a subset of users (maybe geographic) or not many use this feature now. Could anybody help?

    Hi there,

After years of running this flow without a hitch, I'm suddenly getting a run fail with a 404 'resource not found' error for the List all shifts action (see attached screenshot). Does anybody else have this problem? Has Microsoft moved or disabled something? Or is this something to be fixed within the flow? If it's relevant, I'm in the UK.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kris.

Have you added the Calendar and Teams to the USERINPUT areas of the power flow?
