Design Patterns from Mr. Dang (Part 1)

Brian Dang Profile Picture Posted by Brian Dang 3,976

Attached is an app that contains samples of common patterns used in my apps. Watch the video above for a walk through of how they function and how you could make them.

Hi @Anonymous, not all of it is complete yet, which is why I have not yet released the entire app.

In the meantime, you can view samples of the things inside it:

    Hi Mr Dang,

I'm a new PowerApps user and I think that some of your techniques are absolutely brilliant, you truly do think outside the box.

I was hoping there was a way I might be able to download the project for the whole formativ_ app you have created, as there are many simple things I can't get my head around which aren't spoken about or in the example project you uploaded (such as how to highlight the correct menu item when changing pages).

Would this be possible at all?

    Kind regards,

    Harrison Childs

Hi @PlaceSeb, MSAPP files are not imported through on the web.powerapps.com site.

Instead, you would go to the PowerApps Studio (create.powerapps.com) and use File > Open and locate the file you want to open.

    Hi @Anonymous,

There are two ways to share an app. One is to use the import export method which you see at web.powerapps.com.

The next is to save an app to computer. When editing an app, go to File > Save As > Save to computer. This outputs an MSAPP file. To open an MSAPP file, use File > Open in the editing studio.
