Modernize Business Units

Public Preview starting November 10th, 2021.

With this feature, we upgraded our security model to:

1. allow users to own records across business units
2. allow security role from different business units to be assigned to the user regardless of the user’s own business unit
3. set the record’s Owning Business unit column and how to enable it on a form/view
4. expand the security privilege that is needed to support allowing users to access and manage data in multiple business units
5. manage the table relationship and its cascading behaviors when the record’s owner and/or the owning business unit is updated
6. allow users from different business units to participate in the manager hierarchy security model  and
7. determine the security role and user’s owned records behaviors when the business unit of the user is changed
