After allowing Viva connections in Teams and adding to apps to Global policy, it appeared in Teams and seemed to work. Then I got back to SharePoint and found out that sites are not working as before.
Every site has now different icons in the top right side

And original buttons as Share, New button and Edit button for navigation are missing.
- I cannot edit site navigation any more, Edit button missing
- New button disappeared from all home pages of all sites, so I can’t create News any more (that option missing even in Pages library, Add News buttons from web part opens empty page)
- Links in pages are not redirecting to target (most of <a href > tags not redirecting any more
- Links are redirecting when SharePoint site is displayed within Teams
- Global navigation broken – any click opens empty page in new tab
- New sites created from Admin center are corrupted as well
In Teams, Viva connection seems working well as I don’t expect to edit the content there.
I tried to
- Hard refresh the site in browser
- Sign out and in from the browser
- Block Viva connection in teams but icons and menu in all SP sites remained as if they are somehow connected to teams
- Change the home site
Edit buttons and New button is still missing and global navigation not working at all in SharePoint, only in Teams.
Maybe I have to allow something in Teams admin center, but I don't have any clue what and where.
From many screenshots of Viva Connection on the web, I see, that that edit and new buttons are missing, but why on other sites and not only home site. Event there we need to create lists, pages and news...
I have Business Standard licence and Microsoft Viva was already installed, just blocked by default.
I attach the new page tab when I click to global navigation e. g. My Sites. Empty page with lots of script errors.
Any tips appreciated
Thank you
