SQL Server - Test Connection Failed

Hi,

I am trying to set up a new SQL Server connection within Power Automate but I receive an error while doing so:

Test connection failed. Details: Microsoft SQL: Invalid object name 'sys.extended_properties'. Invalid object name 'sys.types'. inner exception: Microsoft SQL: Invalid object name 'sys.extended_properties'. Invalid object name 'sys.types'. clientRequestId: 59a783ca-4ff2-883e-d677-14972215dd0b

I can connect using the same details/credentials via SMSS from the gateway server. The SQL server is SQL 2000. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

Its possible the issue is with the binary collation setting on the database, making it case sensitive. I would definitely not be using SQL 2000 either, as you won't get any real support for that. Between (if its onprem) needing the Gateway to get to it, any issues you hit are mostly going to go unnoticed as its been out of support for so many years.

However, validate your case of your database , tables, columns etc as you try to use the connector from Power Automate.

    Cheers
