Hi Team,

I have a requirement from the customer that they would like to send the application to the share drive in pdf format when the application is approved. They would also like to send all the attachments with the application to the share drive. I have got the youtube video mentioning the download of the file type columns.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfW3U3EGuew&t=592s

But I am not sure how to download all the fields of the application in the pdf format. Has anyone done this before and what are the options? I have a multistep form and the admin can approve/reject it and I have created the flows to send an email notification in case of approval/rejection.

Below is my form:

@Lucas001 , @saudali_25  tagging you guys as you might have done this?

Kind Regards,

Hafiz

    HI @Anonymous,

when I understand you correct you have the application which is send to your admin after successfully submitting the form, correct? Your data is right than saved into dataverse and the approval flow is triggered probably sending a mail or something like that with a "wait for approval" condition.

You can just add a trigger to the table "when row is edited etc." or you can run a flow after the approval is confirmed. As the data of your form is already stored you will than have to create a pdf document yourself.

First create a word template and upload it to a sharedfolder (prob. sharePoint or OneDrive)

Populate the wordtemplate following the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HyacOSm-6k

After that you will have to convert the created word file into a pdf and save that one again.

A general tutorial, even if it's a bit older and some icons won't match yours, is uploaded here: https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/de-de/blog/intermediate-flow-of-the-week-create-pdf-invoices-using-word-templates-with-microsoft-flow/

After that you have a pdf with the application details and can send that one with power automate to whom it belongs.

Hope I understood you correct and that it helps.

If the post helps consider a thumbs up. In case it solves your problem, please mark it as solution.
