Create outlook event from excel sheet

Hello

I am trying to create outlook events from an excel sheet and none of the examples I've found online even look like Power Automate. Has anybody figured out how to do this?

I am using office 365 for Excel and Outlook and the desktop version of Power Automate.

Thank you

    Hi @onlyhave1q

sounds like you are using Power Automate Desktop, as far as I know there is no Outlook action to add a calendar event inside Power Automate Desktop (at least not that easy). You could consider using the web version of Power Automate using https://make.powerautomate.com that is also where you probably found most of the templates from. e.g. you can upload the excel to your OneDrive for Business, use a flow button "manually trigger a flow" to execute your flow, then add an Excel Online for Business action to get all the items from the excel file and then create an event inside your Outlook for Office 365 calendar.

Does this help you? Otherwise please give me some more information.

    Best regards
    Marvin

I had no idea there was a web version. It seems odd there'd be more features available online than in app but now the other tutorials at least make sense.

    Thank you!

The online version is the "older" version, Power Automate Desktop is different from the online version, because the desktop version is using Robotic Process Automation capabilities to automate things that doesn't have an API (like legacy systems) and web automation. You can find more information about Cloud flows and Desktop flows within the Microsoft learn:
