How to know if emails sent are being opened?

We have an automation that is triggered every week, in order to send our active students an email to show them their progress in our courses. Everyone has Microsoft 365 accounts. How do we know if those emails are being opened?

I read that I could embed in the email a 1-pixel, transparent image, served from SharePoint. But, how can I tag the request with the student's email and store it in SharePoint or Excel?

Please help.

    Hi @carhur61,

There is no way could set the Outlook email Request Receipt via Flow, however you could set it manually, please check this blog:

    Hey @v-litu-msft

Well, we have an email service provider, but since everything we do with active students is around Microsoft products, it's easier to keep everything "in-house".  I prefer not to use my ESP account as bridge. Instead, I would rather prefer to go directly to students with some sort of connector, plug-in or code. Manual intervention is not an option neither.

    Thank you anyway.

Hi @carhur61, I believe you can set a read receipt request for each outgoing message.

To do that you have to use MS GRAPH and the premium connector "Invoke a HTTP request".
