How to edit default web template on power page?

Hi all,

I would like to edit default studio template to change colours on header and footer and also some font colour, could you advise how should I go about it?

Hi @yps104,

every power pages has set a theme where you can directly edit the colours which are connected to the css file.
The same can be done for fonts:

If you want to get a bit more into styling you can use the css files and upload one yourself.

Hi @yps104 ,

As @Lucas001 mentioned you can edit the styles by using the Power Pages studio or you can open the portal management model driven app (power pages model driven app) and go to the web files from the navigation menu and search for theme.css as shown below then download the file from the notes modify it then upload it again to notes.

thanks both! i would like to edit the header as attached below (blue color header i would like to change it to black) i have downloaded the theme.css but not sure where to edit this part? would you be able to guide me along? thanks! attached with the css file.

Hi @yps104 ,

Please go to the portalbasictheme.css web-file search for ".navbar-static-top.navbar-inverse" then edit the background-color property with the needed color, please let me know if you need more assistance.

Hi @yps104,

what @EmadBeshai told you is at least one solution.
However I highly recommend trying to use the theme's provided by the platform itself.
Try that first and change all the colours you want.

In other case you don't have to download yours but to upload a custom css file which yoou create somewhere on your desktop and upload it. There you would use CSS Selectors to further adjust colours, margins, padding - styling in general.
