How to create line breaks when creating a pdf from a form with multi choice answers

I am new to power automate. I just reviewed a video and successfully built a flow to convert a Form to a pdf and saved in one drive, using a sharepoint list. I am running into one small formatting issue with the pdf. In my form I have several questions that are "check all that apply" types where the user can submit multiple answers to the same question. When converted to pdf it shows as:

I am looking to create line breaks between each answer option. I have searched every thread I can find but cannot find anything that makes sense for my situation.

This is my current flow. the last few steps which are cutoff are for the pdf conversion.

@DamoBird365  created the above flow, I take ZERO credit.

Thank you

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @SeanB

Thanks for the shout out and pleased you have been able to make use of my video concept!

Check out my blog post https://www.damobird365.com/easily-address-escaped-characters-in-forms-response/

I think this is what you are looking for and I cover how to turn the forms response array into a clean formatted list or line break/return seperated string.

    Good luck!

Thank you for the response Damien, It appears the "Return Line" option is exactly what im looking for. Now for my next line of questioning.

1st. Why do none of your options appear in my "Data Operation" drop down? I searched all three individually as well.

2nd. Since I have several questions in my form with multi answers, where should the "Return Line" compose action fit into my flow?

I have a feeling my novice level is missing something important here to make this work as you described.

    Thank you for your help!!

    Hi @SeanB

The return line is just me renaming the compose action.  Simply add a compose and then insert a return line.  Literally, press return in the inputs for the action.

    @DamoBird365

I greatly appreciate your patience with me.

Im making good progress until the "Join" Compose.

I also tried using the raw outputs and receive an "expression is invalid" error.

Thank you again for all of your help!

    Hi @SeanB

a space in an action name is replaced with an _.

    therefore outputs(‘compose 3’) should be outputs(‘compose_3’)
