Hello everyone!
I want the Customer field and the Contact field to be automatically populated when they click "create case". I tried to associate the entity with the current user, however, this does not seem to work.
Any suggestions?

It seems like you are talking about metadata?
If you want to auto populate a field with the attribute of the current user of the portal then you should create a new basic form meta data with a type "Attribute"
Portal management > Basic Form > Basic Form Metadata
