Hi

I am new to Power Portals and want to embed SharePoint online in my Power Portal so that I can upload, edit, delete documents and folders direct in the power portal.

Ist this possible?

Thx in advance

Andreas

Please take a look at the official documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/manage-sharepoint-documents#:~:text=Open%20Power%20Apps%20Portals%20admin,portal%20to%20communicate%20with%20SharePoint.

currently we can manipulate SharePoint records against a record within you CDS environment

    Hi Oliver

Thank you very much for your support. I was now able to setup the connection. So what do I have to do now? Add a list or a form to manage the sharepoint documents in the portal?

Thank you in advance for your support

there are a good few steps to follow

but the documentation link is pretty clear and will be easier if you follow the steps there than if I try to explain here

let us know if you face any issues

    Hi Oliver

I follow the instructions and get this error in the attachment

    Error document management for entities.png

Can you translate the error message?

looks like you are getting the error on setting up the SP integration, I would suggest searching for whatever error you are getting there

I was able to manage it in the mean time. But now I am at step 4 in the documentation. But where do I have to make these settings? And the documentation is talking about model-driven-app

Identify the form where you want to use document management capabilities. You must edit the form by using model-driven app form editor and add a subgrid to it.

As far as I understand a do not have a model driven app but a portal app.

think of model-driven app as your D365/CDS environment

    navigate to make.powerapps.com --> Apps --> Portal Management (that's your model-driven app)

the documentation Step 4 asks to modify that form, to modify you need a solution first

go to make.powerapps.com --> Solutions --> create your own one if you don't already have one, add the entities/forms that you want the SP integration, and then add the subgrid

this video explain overall about the model-driven app components:

Sorry. Maybe I am blind but where do I find these steps

    • Under Data Source, select Document Locations from the Entity list.

    • Under Data Source, select Active Document Locations from the Default View list.

Can you provide me a screenshot?

So this will depend how you are modifying the artifacts in your CDS env, basically first step here is to actually create a form for the entity which you will display on the portal with a list of associated documents.

When creating that form from make.powerapps.com, these steps listed below is what you will need to do to add a subgrid on the form. This doc will help you https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/create-design-forms

Basically imagine these forms as prebuilt CDS UI controls which works on both portal and model driven apps
