The function "Press button on web page" is used very often. If you choose the advanced option "Wait for page to load", the flow can wait endlessly, if the webpage is down. I would like a timeout feature, so my flow can escape a webpage that does not respond.
Is there a possiblity that I am not aware of? Or will this be added to Power Automate Desktop soon?
Thanks for the solution! And sorry if I posted in the wrong sub-forum.
I hope Microsoft will implement a timeout opportunity in "Press button on web page", so only one function is necessary.
First, I'm just going to mention there is a dedicated sub-forum for Desktop Flows. This sub-forum is more for Cloud Flows. PAD: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Desktop/bd-p/MPADesktop
Second, there are 2 places a timeout value is present.
In the "Launch new Chrome/Edge", under the "Advanced" tab, there is a timeout section:
And under the "Wait for web page content" action, there is also a timeout available when you select the "Fail with timeout error" slider:
Instead of using the "Wait for page to load" option inside the button element, i would suggest you send the button click and use a "wait for web page content" action instead and use the "Fail with timeout error". Clicking on the shield icon in the bottom left will let you customize what happens when the action errors out.
