Opening a page from a sub-grid in the same window

Hi folks,

I can't find any settings that seem to let me do this but I'm hoping to be able to open a page (with a form on it) from a sub-grid "insert" button in the same window. At the moment the OOB functionality enables me to select an entity form, which opens in a modal popup (iframe) but if I want to go to another page, it always opens in a new window.

Any ideas?

The normal behavior for Target Type = Webpage is to load in the same browser window. Possibly you have a setting in your browser that is opening links in a new tab.

It's definitely a Power Pages thing; I've noticed it only happens if I use the modern sub-grid, if I use the "legacy" one it opens everything in the same window. I thought there might be a parameter or something I could use to switch it, but nothing I've found yet.

Hi

Your current setting might be like this.

So for the Target Type Form > Account it will open as pop-up page. See below.

If you want to open a new page for the same window then you need the below settings

So for the above you need to create a new page called 'Create Account' and set the Account form you want to input. This will open in a new window instead of pop-up. See below.

What I found out is if you turned on the Preview feature (see below) then it will open in a new window.

I've checked Fubar, and there's nothing set that would do it - I've checked in different browsers too. This only happens if the modern list is used, so maybe a setting will come along at some point. There's no documentation for the 'isModern' parameter that I can find, it's just if you use the designer and then look at the HTML you can see it.

Thanks for the suggestions though.
