I have developed an application in power apps, my question is there a work around so that an external user can access the application without Microsoft license using power pages.
No direct workaround exists to embed a Power Apps canvas app into Power Pages for license-free external access; users still require a Power Apps per-app or per-user license plus guest status in your Azure AD tenant.
Recommended Approach: Recreate in Power Pages
Rebuild your app's screens/forms as native Power Pages components (basic/multistep forms, lists, web templates with Liquid/JS). This exposes Dataverse or SharePoint data to externals without Power Apps licenses—only Power Pages authentication via web roles.
Use basic forms for CRUD on your tables/lists, scoped by permissions to the signed-in Contact.
Add custom JavaScript/PCF controls for canvas-like interactivity.
External users log in (AAD B2C/local auth), interact freely under your Power Pages plan (free tier: 100 auth users/month/site; scales to $200+/mo for high volume).
Licensing Confirmed
Power Pages handles external scenarios natively: no Dataverse/Power Apps licenses needed for portal users, unlike canvas embeds. Migrate connectors (e.g., SP lists non-premium) directly; premium ones run server-side. Test in a dev environment first.
