Hello, I am using the "Send Email with Option" action for one of my flows and I am wondering if there is a way to achieve couple of things with this action. Please note that what I ask may sound impossible because it is quite advanced. The list of what I would like to achieve:

  1. To create a hyperlink as one of the options for my users that will also capture it as a response to the email sent and not just redirect the users to the link that was provided. That way the email will not be stack on "waiting for response" from the user and the flow will continue.
  2. I am currently using Html formatting for my email. In case the above scenario is not possible, is there a way to redirect my users to the link that I wanted them to see in first place after the Confirmation Dialog appears in the web page? That way there will be a continuation of "clicking" to links and not having to go back to the email to find the link to the email body.
  3. Lastly, is there a way to switch the position between the email body and options box? Or even better play around it and add text before and after the options box in the email?

I have tried all workarounds possible but this action doesn't seem to have the flexibility I expected it to have in order to have the most "user friendly" experience.

If there is any suggestion on the above or any workaround/action that I haven't considered I would be happy to know.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your suggestion! I took a good look into it and even though it seems like it has a lot of potential in terms of how I can arrange things there, I don't really know how I am going to implement it into the flow. Because it is indeed a big flow and sending that email with options was just one step of it. So what I wanted was all these features I talked about earlier and a way to know I have a response from my users. By default email with options does that. It waits for responses and it captures them dynamically so I can use them later on. I am not sure how will that work with the adaptive cards in an outlook format.

For now, because I would like something asap I decided to go with a regular email and provide a link to my users into a PowerApps Edit form that will do things to my connected Sharepoint list according to their actions. Its not as great as having it all into an email but it is as user friendly as I can make it. Will try to develop the adaptive card as a side project and if you have any more ideas on how to merge it into my flow without breaking anything and capturing the responses that I want, I would be glad to know about them.

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

As you are looking for some advanced functionnalities I would suggest you look into sending adaptive card by email instead of leveraging the send email with options you can have a look at this blog post
