MS Flow - Approval ignoring details box, I receive a generic email message

I have built an approval process, and I want the approval email to contain information about the request, instead of sending a separate email for it.

However, I just get a generic email even though I've put information in the "Details" box. Is this not what it's used for? Please see image below, my approval setup and the email I'm receiving.

You can't edit the default approval emails, however you can make a hybrid approval Flow, where you use the approval within the conditions to move the approval along, but that also allows you to create/edit custom emails. Here's an example of one of my Approval Flows where we do this: DocumentsApproval.png

Just to be sure I understand, in this case the end-user receives both the default approval email, and a second custom email you built?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

I did the test on my side. If we configured the content in Details, it will be displayed in Approval email.

I noticed that you didn't configure the Item link and the Item link description, but the link is displayed in the email, and the titles are also inconsistent.

I speculate that the email you saw is not the Approval email generated by current Flow. Please check if there is any other Approval email in inbox.

In addition, you could go to Approval center to check the request and see if the content in Details is consistent with the configuration.

    Best Regards,

I just nuked my flow, re-built it like in the last message and now the details pane works!

    Thank you.
