Do you use edit form / display forms?

I find myself never using edit forms / display forms, instead freely design my forms and submit by using patch.

Design is important for me and for me edit forms reduce my freedom to design forms the way I want.

Do I miss something? Is it possible to unlock edit forms completely?

From what I've read, only forms can be used to attach files.

HI @PaalA , PowerApps Edit forms provide a convenient and quick way to create forms for data entry without having to design them from scratch. However, if you prefer more control and flexibility over the design of your forms, using custom forms with Patch functions is a valid approach. Custom forms allow you to design the user interface exactly as you want and control the submission of data using Patch or other data manipulation functions.

It's important to note that both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages.PowerApps Edit forms can save you time and effort in designing simple forms, but they may limit your design freedom. On the other hand, custom forms give you complete control over the design, but they require more effort to implement and maintain.

If you're comfortable with designing custom forms and using Patch functions, and it meets your requirements, there's no strict need to use PowerApps Edit forms. The choice between using built-in edit forms and custom forms depends on your specific needs, preferences, and the complexity of your application.

Make sure you consider factors like development time, ease of maintenance, and user experience when deciding which approach to take. If your current method using custom forms and Patch functions is working well for you, and you're satisfied with the design and functionality, there's no inherent drawback to sticking with that approach.

Also, lastly, in order to unlock the form, you have to unlock one by one data card.
