Powerpages contacts can see all pages despite not having the correct roles

I have set a few pages on the power pages portal to be only readable by users with certain web roles.

I have a portal contact who does not have those web roles.

The contact can always read the pages in question regardless of what web roles he does or doesn't have, or even if he has no web roles whatsoever.

On a side note, if I go to the web roles tab while managing the contact, I can't find a single web role when trying to assign them a web role. However, I can manage the web roles and add them to the contact through there, after which they do show up in the web roles tab of the contact. Unsure why this is, or if it is relevant to the roles not working correctly in the first place.

    Hi @nniinima ,

This is strange, your pages should be visible to the users only having mentioned Web Roles. But as alternate can check this out from Portal Management App?

    1. Sign in to Power Pages and open your site for editing.

    2. In the left side panel, select More items (…) > Portal Management.

    3. In the left side panel of the Portal Management app, scroll down to Security and select Web Page Access Control Rules.

    4. Create a new Web Role and associate it your Page.
    5. Save & Sync your changes.

Try it out and see if it works for you from Portal Managment App rather than Studio.

    Thanks,

    Saud

Check that the Web Roles you have assigned to the Page do not have the "Authenticated Users" (and antonymous) checkboxes selected.  These checkboxes indicated the Web Role can be inherited by users (does not have to be directly assigned to a User).

(not related to the issue in your post) if using the checkboxes do not select the same checkbox on multiple Web Roles (if you do the system will only choose 1 of them to inherit)
