Is there a status to hide records?

I have a database which will transition to new ownership. The new owners would like the old records to be kept in the system, but would not like them to display in the powerapp.

Is there a status setting in dynamics I can use to hide records from active view? Or what would be the best way to store and hide records?

    To hide properly you would need to at a minimum configure appropriate Security Role privileges using the privilege levels and possibly implement a Business Unit structure to allow you to move records out of the scope of the new users
