This has happened enough now that i better say something.
It is too easy to delete a control. The last time this happened i thought i was backspacing through a formula. instead, the control holding the formual disappeared.
I'm not sure if i can deliberately repro.
still present in april 2023 yall 😐
Still facing the same issue. Backspace deleting controls instead of formula.
Thanks so much for the extra info, this is helpful. We'll investigate the issue further.
+1
This happens often when I change the width of an object in the Advanced panel, then I select the height property, hit backspace to clear it. A slight delay in PowerApps thinks I have the object selected instead of the height property. Then it deletes the object instead of the property.
Last night the backspace canceled my Flow editing session twice. The first time I got the dialog you see usually when you leave an edit; the second time i hit the backspace, basically, the session crashed ignimoniously sending me back to my list of Flows.
Oh, and you might be able to repro this if you highlight text in the Action field before you hit backspace, and you should probably have a piece of dynamic content just to the left of the highlighted text.
i will copy this post to the Flow Forum.
Hi mcorning,
Thank you for reporting the issue. The backspace does delete the control if it is selected and is in focus. It looks like in your case the focus goes from the formula editor to the control which is why it is getting deleted. I could not reproduce this while editing formula. We'll investigate this further. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any more details on the scenario when this happens.
Thank you,
Irina
