Filter Customer Lookup | Only show accounts

Hi,

I got the default customer lookup (parentcustomerid) on a form within the portal. When I open the Lookup I see the default View of Contacts and in addition to this I can filter by accounts.

My requirement is to show the accounts by default when I open the lookup and hide the contact view (which I could do with css). Yet I am not sure how to set the default view of this lookup in the portal. Since its the customer field I have no option within the field properties to select the default view.

Could someone help me out with a step-by-step guidance?

Thanks!!

    Hello,

    My guess you are using entity list to display a view , you want this view to show lookup by Accounts only, if my assumption is correct then here is what you need to check:

    1- On the entity list (or Lists) , make sure you have only 1 view selected

    2- If you dont want the view to be filtered by Contact, ensure the field in red below is blank

    save and try , hope this help

    Hi @Anonymous
    I had the same issue just the other way around. (I wanted to set Contact Lookup to default but my Account Lookup was default). After seeing your post where your account entity/view is named "Suchansicht: Firma", I realised that the view selected is sorted by alphabetical order.

    Therefore the solution is simple. Rename your Contact Look-up view to something that starts with a letter after S.
    e.g. instead of "Contact Lookup" rename to "View Contact Lookup". That will change the order of your dropdown option-set and "Suchansicht: Firma" will become default.  Then as you mentioned apply CSS to hide the dropdown option:

    .open>.dropdown-menu {
    display: none;
    }

    .caret {
    display: none;
    }

    Hope that helps - I spend hours trying to find a solution on it.
