Hi Everyone!

I have a form here that requires to upload people's resume in power portal.

I've used the file column but when the form loaded this is what we get.

This is my first time using attachments, so I am unsure what to do here.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

The error message is your initial post is telling you that the record that your Form is for does not yet exist and so you cannot access the File Column (has nothing to do with the column being populated with a value or not).  To use it you would have to be using an Edit form on an existing record, not doing an Insert (but you can use a Notes attachment when doing an Insert).

Thanks for the reply @OOlashyn , I was actually thinking that the file column may require a record added first. I did tried to add a record but the file column seems to be grayed out. do you have any clue on how to enable this? (this is my first time using this column, we're planning to add a flow action to connect it to another environment)

    Hi @xenophonic,

To use the File type column you need to create the record first. If you need to use File type column what you can do is instead of the Basic form create a Multi-step form - on the first step you will create a record and on the second add a file to it (here is a multi-step form docs). If this solution doesn't fit you consider using Notes and attach file functionality - this works with record creation as a single step (you can find more here).
