Single submit button for multiple forms

Hi,

I am currently developping a page that contains a few sections, each section contains one or two forms. I am thinking about having a single submit button for each section.

Has anyone ever implemented a single submit button for multiple forms? I would like to know how realistic it is in the context of Power Pages.

Thank you,

From my experience, you can't have multiple forms in a single page (only if it's read-only), this is because the forms uses a HTML Post.
I have only tried this many years ago, unless Microsoft made changes to allow this, I wouldn't think it's possible, however it's probably a quick enough test that you can do, have you tried that?

Alternatively, you can use Multiform Steps, with different tables/forms for each step.

And ultimately if you need it all in a single page you can always use the Web API, however that will require custom code.

Hi Oliver, thank you for your response,

    **edit**

I have made it work actually, with the forms in edit mode and using a querry string as source type, I can display many forms at the same time in one section.

I have tried it with 3 forms on the same page and it worked fine, I display only one form at a time using javascript and a sidebar to chose the form. I tried displaying more than one at a time and there is indeed an error that prevents the page from loading now. The multi-step was not chosen as an option because I want the user to be able to partially fill the forms in any order and come back to it if needed.

I will change my approach to have them on separate pages.

    thanks!
